Housing and Building Research Institute Issues Job Circular for Various Positions
The Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI), under the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, has announced the recruitment of various positions on a temporary basis. As per the notification issued on October 11, 2026, applications are invited from qualified permanent residents of Bangladesh for roles graded from 10th to 20th on the National Pay Scale, 2026. The online application process is set to begin on October 14, 2026, and will remain open until November 15, 2026.
The circular states vacancies for several positions, including one for an Assistant Engineer (Grade-10) with a salary range of BDT 32,000 to BDT 77,300, and one for a Typist (Grade-16) offering BDT 21,900 to BDT 52,900. To apply for the Assistant Engineer role, candidates must hold a diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university with at least a second division. Relevant experience will be prioritized. Additional positions include Driver, Plumber, Office Assistant, Security Guard, and Cleaner, with specific educational qualifications and experience required for each.
Applicants must be permanent residents of Bangladesh and can only apply through the online portal www.hbri.teletalk.com.bd. No applications sent through other mediums will be accepted. Key requirements involve proficiency in computer operations and requisite educational qualifications for each position. Age limits for general candidates are set at 18-32 years, while retired armed forces members may apply until the age of 40 for the Security Guard position.
Candidates currently employed in government, semi-government, and autonomous organizations must secure permission from the relevant authorities before applying. All stages of recruitment, including written, practical (if applicable), and oral examinations, will adhere to the existing recruitment rules under the ministry.
