BPSC Announces Written Exam Details for Assistant Secretary (Drafting) Position

BPSC has released a notice regarding the written examination for the position of “Assistant Secretary (Drafting)” (9th Grade) under the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. The exam will take place from October 25 to November 4, 2026, at the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat.

The written exam will be held at the Multi-Purpose Hall and Non-Cadre Vault Room in Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. Candidates will face a total of 600 marks spread across six days, divided into various subject papers. The first paper will cover General Bengali and General English on October 25, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The second paper, including topics related to Bangladesh, international issues, basic mathematics, and daily science, is scheduled for October 27, 2026, at the same time. Candidates must strictly adhere to guidelines provided in their admit cards and must arrive at their seats at least 15 minutes before the exam starts.

Candidates appearing for the exam are prohibited from using scientific calculators, and other electronic devices, and must carry their admit cards. Those needing a scriber are required to submit an application to the commission’s Dhaka office by October 15, 2026. Furthermore, any discrepancies in registration numbers or conduct may lead to disqualification. Candidates can download their admit cards from the BPSC or Teletalk websites, as no new admit cards will be issued.
